Yellow Volume 1 | Blog Post #2

Hello hello hello! The second, third, and fourth posts are part of a 3 part explanation of what my film is, how it gives representation, and a description of what the film will cover. My film is surrounding two real world existing ideas. The first is a neurological condition known as synesthesia. The second is isolation. In this post we will discuss how i will use these ideas to create my film, Yellow. Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which your brain routes sensory  sensory information through multiple unrelated senses, causing you to experience more than one sense simultaneously.  A example of this is hearing triggering a sensation  in another sense such as taste or associating different people with different colours  through smell. Okay that last example was a little too specific, in fact it may have something to do with my film... Regardless this neurological condition however is not a mental disease or disorder.  Hello! It is I, Yahya Salama, and i return once more to give YOU another short film! I know I know, the last one was kind of a flop; but not to worry! I have come back with a more refined vision. My new project will be opposite of my first one with the theme heading towards isolation and tight spaces in contrast with my idea of grandeur previously. As a result, i have had a particular concept in my mind for quite a while. The concept I believe I will follow with use lots of diverse locations with the inclusion of actors of all ages to try to create an atmosphere that is fitting. The budgeting will not be very high unlike the film of the previous year due to me possessing the equipment i need. I am currently planning the timeline for the creation of this short film. The rough estimate time line for preproduction will be 21 days. This is 7 days shorter than my previous preproduction time line due to most of the equipment already being obtained.
