Yellow Volume 1 | Blog Post #2
Hello hello hello! The second, third, and fourth posts are part of a 3 part explanation of what my film is, how it gives representation, and a description of what the film will cover. My film is surrounding two real world existing ideas. The first is a neurological condition known as synesthesia. The second is isolation. In this post we will discuss how i will use these ideas to create my film, Yellow.
Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which your brain routes sensory sensory information through multiple unrelated senses, causing you to experience more than one sense simultaneously. A example of this is hearing triggering a sensation in another sense such as taste or associating different people with different colours through smell. Okay that last example was a little too specific, in fact it may have something to do with my film... Regardless this neurological condition however is not a mental disease or disorder.
Additionally, isolation gives way to brooding emotions like sadness, loneliness, depression and despair. People in isolation usually have a want to be apart of a larger picture or a group of people leading them to do their best to fit in. That explanation is just another one of the various hints about my film. Additionally, the isolated nature of the character allows me to explore many paths in regards with the creation such as negative practices like alcoholism and self degradation. Not to worry, the alcoholism is will be suggestive and no one in the film will be using or practicing it. Additionally self degradation will be in the form of words and ideas conjured by the character. No physical self-harm will be featured in the film or suggested.
I have realized that at the time of writing this post, that i have unintentionally given out yet even more hints to what this film will be like. So i sincerely apologize, but i will have to deprive you, my wonderful audience, of any more details until the next post. The ideas here will be used to create unique representation as well as a unique story that is fitting to today's large audience.
